We are continually adding to our list of kindergarten sight words. Learning these words is so important in your child becoming a beginning reader. Many of these words are difficult if not impossible to "sound out". Your child will also come across these words often in their books.
I did a quick assessment today to see how each student was doing in learning the six sight words we have had so far. Obviously, many of you have been working on reviewing these words at home. It really pays off in the classroom.
I have given a few different ideas of ways to review in previous newsletters. I think in would be interesting for me and other parents if you would comment to this blog and describe what works for you and your child when you review.
